In Montana’s 1st Congressional District, LCV Action Fund-endorsed Monica Tranel is running against disgraced former Trump Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. Monica Tranel worked on behalf of consumers at the Montana Public Service Commission and later started her own law firm focused on issues involving energy, utilities, water, and property rights and represents clients who want to invest in clean energy. Ryan Zinke resigned from the Trump cabinet in scandal, at one point facing as many as 18 federal investigations. While in charge of the Department of the Interior, Ryan Zinke was a notorious climate denier and handed over our public lands to corporate polluters. In Congress, Zinke has a 4% lifetime LCV score and voted for even more handouts to Big Oil.
