LCV Victory Fund Launches First Ads in $14 million House Campaign | LCV Victory Fund

Latest News

Washington, D.C.– This week LCV Victory Fund launched the first ads in a new digital and TV ad campaign supporting 16 House races across the country as part of an overall $14 million field and paid media campaign in 20 House districts to win back a pro-climate, pro-democracy House of Representatives. Between now and election day, LCV Victory Fund, along with partners in some districts, will support the following candidates: Kirsten Engel (AZ-06), George Whitesides (CA-27),  Will Rollins (CA-41), Derek Tran (CA-45), Dave Min (CA-47), Yadira Caraveo (CO-08), Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08), Monica Tranel (MT-01),  Gabe Vasquez (NM-02), Laura Gillen (NY-04), Josh Riley (NY-19), Susan Wild (PA-07), Janelle Bynum (OR-05), Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Emilia Sykes (OH-13) and Missy Cotter Smasal (VA-02). The campaign will launch in waves over the course of the next 7 weeks of the election cycle with the first digital ads launching in CA-27 opposing Representative Mike Garcia and in CO-08 supporting Representative Yadira Caraveo.  LCV Victory Fund has previously announced House races with field programs.

This ad campaign comes after the news earlier this month that LCV Victory Fund expanded its field program by $6.2 million to include additional House races across the country. The first ads launched this week opposing Representative Mike Garcia in CA-27 are in partnership with EDF Action Votes and will run in English and Spanish.

“The MAGA House majority has been a chaotic disaster full of so much infighting that they have failed to accomplish anything for their districts or the country,” said Megan Jacobs, Vice President of Paid Communications and Elections at LCV Victory Fund. They have consistently backed Big Oil’s wish list and have tried to undo progress on climate and clean energy. It’s especially cynical as they celebrate local clean energy job creation in their districts even while voting to roll back progress as soon as they return to D.C. We need pro-environment, pro-democracy representatives up and down the ballot who are ready to protect access to clean air and water, stand up to Big Polluters and put people first.”

Currently, MAGA House Republicans are attempting to strip away environmental protections for public lands and clean air and water, including voting to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act dozens of times–a move straight out of the Project 2025 playbook. Meanwhile, House Democrats and climate champions are working to build upon the historic climate progress made by the Biden-Harris administration and see through the development of a clean energy economy that lowers costs for families across the country, creates high-paying, family sustaining jobs, and increases access to clean air and clean water.

WATCH: Delivering

Congresswoman Yadira Caraveo is fighting for working families in Colorado.

As a pediatrician who worked her way through college.

Yadira saw firsthand the impact of rising costs on her patients.

So she took on drug companies to lower prescription costs, making Colorado the first state in the nation to cap insulin prices.

And in Congress, she supported bipartisan legislation to lower our utility bills.

WATCH: Behind Closed Doors

Behind closed doors.

That’s where Congressman Mike Garcia got access to private airline safety briefings.

Then secretly sold tens of thousands in airplane manufacturer stock, weeks before his committee released a damning report.

And when he profited, Garcia tried to hide the sale  – behind closed doors.

Mike Garcia is just another politician looking to make himself rich instead of looking out for us.

So let’s open up those doors, and send him home.
