The race for California’s open 47th Congressional district pits LCV Action Fund-endorsed State Senator Dave Min against Republican Scott Baugh. In the state legislature, Dave Min authored legislation to end offshore oil drilling, protect public lands, and combat climate change. Scott Baugh is a right-wing extremist who is fixated on culture war issues and who said that “wokism” is a greater threat to our country than World Wars I and II and 9/11.
