Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC and LCV Victory Fund Expand Field Program to Texas
Washington, D.C.– Today, the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC (CFFE PAC) and LCV Victory Fund announced a $750,000 expansion of its field organizing campaigns to include Texas’ Senate race in support of James Talarico. This is CFFE PAC and LCV Victory Fund’s first time canvassing for a federal race in Texas and will include knocking on over 80,000 doors. The Texas program is a partnership between CFFE PAC and the New American Jobs Fund, which is a joint project of LCV Victory Fund and United Steelworkers.
This announcement comes after CFFE PAC and LCV Victory Fund, partners and affiliates recently launched a $3.7 million investment in field organizing programs encompassing Senate, House and gubernatorial races to knock over 300,000 doors in Michigan and Ohio.
“James Talarico is the son of a single mom who was forced to return to work days after giving birth to him. When his younger sister arrived ten weeks premature, Talarico’s mother was fired over the phone while caring for her newborn in the NICU,” said Phoebe Kilgour, deputy executive director at the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC. “James Talarico knows firsthand that families need policies like paid family and medical leave and quality, affordable child care and health care, and his support for these policies that will help solve the affordability crisis is why Texas voters are embracing him. We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with LCV Victory Fund to help get him elected.”
“We are leaving no stone unturned and expanding into new territory,” said Sara Schreiber, SVP of Campaigns at LCV Victory Fund. “James Talarico has shown that he has a plan to tackle rising costs, including energy costs. Texans deserve a leader who is looking out for their pockets and for their health and will help to increase clean energy resources and jobs that keep costs low. We are not shying away from Trump territory this cycle and are connecting with voters on the issues that matter to them most, affordability– especially energy affordability.”
In Dallas and Houston, canvassers will talk with voters about rising cost of living, healthcare, and skyrocketing utility bills in support of James Talarico. As part of this program, when canvassers meet someone who has a compelling story to share around rising costs, they’ll ask them to record a short video sharing their experience. These videos will be edited into short digital ads to share across organic and paid media.
Earlier this summer, LCV Victory Fund announced plans to invest at least $50 million in the 2026 midterm election cycle. LCV Victory Fund’s priorities this cycle include flipping the House, protecting and expanding pro-clean energy seats in the U.S. Senate, and supporting the work of state affiliates to elect pro-clean energy and climate candidates up and down the ballot. The investment will include a strategic mix of paid media, field, mail and work with content creators.
The Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC also plans to spend $50 million in the midterms to support Democrats in key House and Senate races who are committed to lowering costs, especially the cost of caregiving, and delivering real economic relief for working families.
