February 13, 2024
Nick Abraham,

Queens, NY: With hours to go in the special election to replace disgraced Rep. George Santos, LCV Victory Fund detailed their robust field and advertising program–with a final total spend of $720,000, more than double their initial investment to support Tom Suozzi.

LCV Victory Fund will continue their field campaign through today reaching an estimated 90,000 doors focusing on the Queen’s portion of the district. Over the weekend, LCV Victory Fund also launched a new ad, produced in partnership with House Majority PAC, that will run on digital channels in Queens.

“It’s extremely clear that the MAGA Republicans in the House are only interested in doing Big Oil’s bidding, even as they continually fail to get anything productive done in Congress,” said Pete Maysmith, LCV Victory Fund Senior Vice President of Campaigns. “We need pro-climate, pro-democracy leadership back in charge of the House, and that journey starts with getting Tom Suozzi back into Congress to replace disgraced former Representative George Santos.”

Tom Suozzi has a long history of environmental leadership in New York. During his time in Congress, he earned an extremely impressive 98% lifetime score on the League of Conservation Voters National Environmental Scorecard. He also served as Mayor of Glen Cove and as Nassau County Executive and was the 2008 New York League of Conservation Voters’ Environmentalist of the Year.

NY-03 has experienced massive flooding due to extreme weather events and has serious concerns about lead pipes delivering drinking water – a sentiment voiced by canvassed voters.  The canvass program has knocked on over 80,000 voters’ doors with an expectation to knock on up to 90,000 doors before the polls close. The program also recruited over 100 relational mobilizers from the district to engage and turn out their friends and family to vote for Suozzi.
