LCV Victory Fund Launches $3 Million Ad Focused on Texas Senate Race
Washington, D.C.– Today, LCV Victory Fund launched a $3 million digital ad campaign focused on Ken Paxton’s record of corruption and prioritizing personal financial gain over the people of Texas. The ad will run on YouTube, CTV and online video platforms in the Houston and Dallas media markets through November 3. This is the same area that door-to-door canvassing is currently underway, layering our engagement with Texans across two of the state’s three largest cities.

“Corruption is a major concern for voters this year, and Ken Paxton is simply too corrupt for Texas,” said Sara Schreiber, Senior Vice President of Campaigns for LCV Victory Fund. “From bribery to impeachment, Ken Paxton has repeatedly and shockingly shown just how far he is willing to go for his wealthy donors. Texans need a leader like James Talarico who will put people first, instead of prioritizing his own financial gain.”
Ken Paxton’s reputation for corruption is so clear that in 2020, as Attorney General, Ken Paxton was reported to the FBI by his own staffers, who claimed Paxton had committed bribery and abuse of office to benefit a wealthy donor. Paxton was later impeached by the Republican-led Texas house for obstruction of justice, bribery, disregard of official duty, misapplications of public resources and conspiracy for using his office to help a donor and himself. He also has openly praised the Republican Tax Law, which included major cuts to clean energy jobs and projects and delivered massive handouts to Big Oil.
Last week, the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC (CFFE PAC) and LCV Victory Fund announced a $750,000 expansion of its field organizing campaigns to include Texas’ Senate race in support of James Talarico. This is CFFE PAC and LCV Victory Fund’s first time canvassing for a federal race in Texas and will include knocking on over 80,000 doors. The Texas program is a partnership between CFFE PAC and the New American Jobs Fund, which is a joint project of LCV Victory Fund and United Steelworkers.
Earlier this summer, LCV Victory Fund announced plans to invest at least $50 million in the 2026 midterm election cycle. LCV Victory Fund’s priorities this cycle include flipping the House, protecting and expanding pro-clean energy seats in the U.S. Senate, and supporting the work of state affiliates to elect pro-clean energy and climate candidates up and down the ballot. The investment will include a strategic mix of paid media, field, mail and work with content creators.
