LCV Victory Fund Launches $2.6 Million Ad Blitz

Kelci Hobson, khobson@lcv.org

Washington, D.C.— As part of a new wave of ads launching today, LCV Victory Fund announced a new $1.6 million ad campaign focused on Iowa’s Senate race and Ashley Hinson’s record of voting against clean water protections. In addition to the Senate ad, LCV Victory Fund also launched digital ads targeting Mike Lawler (NY-17) and Scott Perry (PA-10). Last week, LCV Victory Fund named Mike Lawler (NY-17) and Scott Perry (PA-10) to the 2026 Dirty Dozen for their votes to raise energy costs and to cut clean energy. Each of these ads features powerful testimonials from constituents harmed by the votes their Representatives have taken.

“The folks back home are fed up with what these Republican Representatives have been doing in Washington to raise costs and roll back basic environmental protections,” said Sara Schreiber, SVP of Campaigns at LCV Victory Fund. They’re helping us tell these stories because voters deserve to know why their utility costs have risen over the past year and corporate interests are put ahead of keeping families healthy and safe.”

In this ad, Tara talks about her concerns about the safety of the water her family is drinking and the fact that Ashely Hinson voted to roll back clean water rules, while at the same time taking money from corporations that are contaminating water. The ad highlights how contaminated water has also led to increased cancer rates in Iowa. The digital ad will run on YouTube and streaming through September 28.

In this ad, Frank talks about struggling to keep the lights on and calls attention to Mike Lawler’s votes to increase utility costs and how utility costs have increased by 60% in the Hudson Valley. The ad also highlights Lawler’s record as a former lobbyist for utility companies and his record of taking money from Big Oil and Gas companies. The digital ad will run on YouTube and streaming through October 5.

In this ad, Elle, a small business owner, calls out Scott Perry for his vote in support of the Big Ugly Bill, also known as the Republican Tax Law, which spiked Pennsylvanians’ electric bills and his history of prioritizing his donors over the voters he represents. The digital ads will run on YouTube and streaming through September 28.

Earlier this summer, LCV Victory Fund announced plans to invest at least $50 million in the 2026 midterm election cycle. LCV Victory Fund’s priorities this cycle include flipping the House, protecting and expanding pro-clean energy seats in the U.S. Senate, and supporting the work of state affiliates to elect pro-clean energy and climate candidates up and down the ballot. The investment will include a strategic mix of paid media, field, mail and work with content creators.

Being a mom of three boys is not always easy

But I never imagined I would have to worry about what is in our water

With climbing cancer rates, it’s hard not to

But apparently Ashley Hinson doesn’t

Ashley Hinson voted to roll back clean water protections

While taking $300,000 from corporations that polluted our water

As a mom, I do not understand how she voted for that

When you vote their way and take their money

You show us the kind of person you are

And Ashley Hinson is not for Iowa

I’m working hard to keep the lights on

My bill keep going up

Hudson Valley families crushed by 60% utility rate increases

And it turns out, Congressman Mike Lawler voted to hike up our utility costs

Mike Lawler, a former lobbyist for the utility companies

And even worse, he’s taking thousands from utility and gas companies that keep raising prices

The Hudson Valley can’t afford this lobbyist Congressman anymore

Mike Lawler is leaving us in the dark

These days, costs are rising everywhere

And instead of helping, Scott Perry spent almost 15 years in DC working for his wealthy donors

He voted to spike our electric bills,

Taking almost $300,000 from energy companies

He voted to let Wall Street charge higher junk fees

Taking over half a million from the financial industry

This isn’t the cost of doing business,

It’s the cost of keeping Scott Perry in DC

It’s time for change
