In 2024, we helped elect and re-elect 129 pro-climate, pro-democracy U.S. House candidates, holding the Republican majority to its lowest seat margin in decades. Despite major headwinds, our field and paid media programs also helped hold on to four of the most competitive U.S. Senate seats, even in states where Trump prevailed: Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin. Our federal Dirty Dozen program saw the defeat of 6 of the worst anti-environment candidates, while our state affiliates’ Dirty Dozen in the States program helped defeat 5 candidates as well as the first state ballot initiative ever named to the list.
Who We Are
LCV Victory Fund runs independent campaigns to influence competitive federal races where our involvement and issues can be decisive for pro-environment, pro-democracy candidates who reflect the racial and gender diversity of our country. We have deep experience and expertise in delivering victory for candidates who will translate these wins into environmental policies that benefit people across the country, and these policies increasingly focus on communities of color and low-wealth communities who are impacted by environmental racism and injustice.
