LCV Victory Fund Launches Senate Blitz in Key Races
Washington, D.C.– Today LCV Victory Fund announced a new $250,000 digital ad campaign in the Wisconsin Senate race opposing Dirty Dozen member Eric Hovde, as well as a $300,000 expansion of the OH-13 broadcast ad opposing Kevin Coughlin that launched last week. In addition to the digital ad campaign, LCV Victory Fund also expanded their field organizing programs in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Nevada by a total of $1 million across the three states and will support Kamala Harris, Tammy Baldwin (WI-Sen), Bob Casey (PA-Sen) and Jacky Rosen (NV-Sen).

This new ad highlights how Eric Hovde proposed $4 trillion in new tax cuts for wealthy people, which would result in cuts to Social Security and Medicare. Meanwhile, Tammy Baldwin is working to lower costs by building a clean energy economy that creates high-paying family sustaining jobs for Wisconsinites. This digital ad campaign comes in the final week of the election cycle and builds upon the $800,000 joint mail program supporting Tammy Baldwin and Kamala Harris that LCV Victory Fund launched in partnership with EMILYs List earlier this month.
“In these final days of the cycle, we are continuing to meet voters where they are and educate Wisconsin voters about the reality of the Senate race,” said Megan Jacobs, Vice President of Paid Communications and Elections. “Eric Hovde has demonstrated time and time again that he will side with the ultra wealthy and Trump over the hardworking families and communities of Wisconsin.”
The $200,000 expansion of the field program in Wisconsin aims to knock an additional 20,000 doors by Election Day to engage voters on Tammy Baldwin’s commitment to defend the Great Lakes and Wisconsin’s clean water, build a clean energy economy, and hold polluters accountable. In contrast, Eric Hovde earned a spot on this year’s Dirty Dozen list for not only being backed by billionaire oil barons, but also continuously denouncing Biden’s clean energy tax credits, which are expected to add billions to Wisconsin’s economy while reducing energy costs for Wisconsin families.
Below is more information about the field expansions in Nevada and Pennsylvania:
Pennsylvania Presidential and Senate ($280k expansion)
In Philadelphia, the LCV Victory Fund field program will aim to knock on 35,000 more doors by Election Day to connect with voters about what is at stake with the Pennsylvania Senate race where climate champion Bob Casey is up against MAGA mega-millionaire David McCormick. McCormick has not only rallied with Trump but also supports tax cuts for Big Oil and has said he’s committed to leading MAGA efforts to repeal tax incentives for new clean energy infrastructure. Meanwhile, Bob Casey has championed historic investments in clean energy that are already bringing good paying jobs to Pennsylvanians.
Nevada Presidential and Senate ($530k expansion)
In Vegas and Reno, canvassers will knock on 60,000 more doors by Election Day and talk to voters about reelecting Jacky Rosen to the Senate and GOTV about the presidential race. As Senator, Jacky Rosen has been a dedicated advocate for clean energy and public lands, and fought against using Yucca Mountain for dumping nuclear waste. In stark contrast, Sam Brown is notably a MAGA extremist who supported opening Yucca Mountain to nuclear waste and has said he would eliminate the Departments of Energy, Transportation and the environmental departments from the Federal Government.
