In Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, LCV Action Fund-endorsed Tony Vargas is running against Republican Incumbent Don Bacon. As a member of the Nebraska Legislature, State Senator Tony Vargas cosponsored a resolution declaring that the Legislature has a moral obligation to combat climate change. In Congress, Tony will fight to take on the climate crisis by investing in good paying clean energy jobs that will power the economy of the future and help working families across Nebraska. Don Bacon has a 17% lifetime LCV score, and refused to acknowledge the reality of climate change. Bacon even voted to repeal tax credits for solar and wind energy that are expected to help Nebraskans save $1.5 billion on energy costs in the coming decades.
