In Arizona’s 1st Congressional District, LCV Action Fund-endorsed Amish Shah is challenging incumbent Republican David Schweikert. Amish Shah is an E.R. doctor and former member of the State House of Representatives. David Schweikert has a 6% lifetime LCV score and once called climate change “folklore.” Recently, Schweikert was happy to attend a groundbreaking for a solar energy system that benefited from the Biden Harris Clean Energy Plan, even though he opposed the plan in the first place and voted three times to repeal the clean energy tax credits at the heart of the plan.
