Raphael Warnock

Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock knows that a healthy environment means a healthy economy. That’s why he’s fought for just and equitable climate change policies that will also help grow Georgia’s clean energy economy. It’s no surprise that he earned a perfect score of 100% in LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard during his first year in office championing policies that will create cleaner, safer, more sustainable communities for all Georgians. Warnock also understands that achieving meaningful progress on climate change will be more difficult without a more just and equitable democracy that is responsive to all people. In the Senate, he’s been leading the charge to protect and expand voting rights, especially since the communities most affected by environmental injustice are the same communities that are often systematically excluded from the democratic process.

OPPONENT

Herschel Walker

Dirty Dozen member Herschel Walker is a serial liar whose campaign has been dominated by scandals – from lying about his education to claiming to own companies that don’t exist. When he’s not making nonsensical, incoherent statements about climate change, he’s offering a forceful defense of the failed energy policies of the past, which includes supporting the dangerous Keystone XL pipeline. Walker’s campaign is heavily funded by the oil and gas industry, raking in more than $135,000 in donations from Big Oil and other energy interests in the short time he’s been a candidate. Additionally, Walker has pushed the “Big Lie” about the 2020 election, called for the Supreme Court to disqualify the 2020 election results, and – unsurprisingly – received an enthusiastic endorsement from Donald Trump.
