In Oregon’s 6th congressional district, LCV Action Fund-endorsed Andrea Salinas is running against Republican Mike Erickson. Salinas is a strong advocate for Oregon families. She’s fought to reduce harmful pollution and lower energy bills for consumers. In the state legislature, she also worked with Republicans to fight high prescription drug costs. In Congress, Salinas will fight to protect Oregon’s environment and work to bring new clean energy jobs to the state. Erickson – who the American Prospect described as “Oregon’s Herschel Walker” – is a millionaire businessman who has already threatened to contest the election results if he loses. LCV Victory Fund supported Salinas in the competitive Democratic primary earlier this year.
